Back home in Poggio alla Croce

What a delight to be back “home” and find that things have moved forward at San Cerbone in readiness for our special guests who will arrive on Friday, September 21.

Those of you who remember Googa, the cat, will be sad to learn that he died recently after a long and happy life. Nero seems quite content to be the only cat on the farm. He has even lost weight!

I arrived just in time to for the grape harvest and once again I was invited to help with the Vendemmia with Giovanni’s family and of course, to enjoy the lunch after just enough work.

This morning I had a cappuccino at Vito’s (and a brioche) while contemplating the scenery.

Poggio Alla Croce is always a feast for my eyes

I had a visit with Dober and a promise from his owner that I could walk him later today.

Dober is waiting for me

And for those of you who know Giovanni, rest assured he is still single but maybe not for long. Will there will be an engagement announced this December from Madagascar?  Stay tuned!

Wedding bells soon I hope! While I am still able to hear them 🙂

We wait for you, Linda, Silvina, Nancy, Karen and Karin!

Safe travels!
